Berea Elks Lodge #1815 Golf League
Website and Login Information.
You can find all sorts of information on our league website, including but not limited to; matchups, handicaps, contest winners and even breakdowns of average score per hole. It is very informative once you dive into it. We will also use this for live scoring during our rounds. I know it can be rough to remember or use(I'm virtually pointing my finger at our "older" golfers), but it helps make running the league a bit easier.

PACE OF PLAY
PAY ATTENTION – Before you tee off, know the ball you are playing. Watch your ball flight closely to avoid long periods of searching. Help your playing partners and pay attention to their ball flight as well, all the way to its finish. If there is group behind you, and the group ahead of you is clear, you have 3 minutes once you reach the area you suspect it to be in to find it before it is considered a lost ball. Rather than hitting provisional balls, we use a local rule for lost balls, which is one stroke and a drop in the vicinity of the area in which you suspected the ball to be. (The USGA lost ball stroke and distance rule is much more punitive.) Help out other groups in the league if a you spot their ball from elsewhere.
ELIMINATE UNNECESSARY PRACTICE SWINGS – Build your confidence on the range, not on league night.
PREPARATION – Be prepared to hit when it is your turn. Get to your ball as quickly as possible and consider club options prior to your companions' shots. Play “READY GOLF” during the regular season. Read your putt while other golfers are putting.
BE ALERT – Be aware of your groups position in relation to those in front of and behind you. You are required to keep pace with the group in front of you.
PLACEMENT OF GOLF CARTS AND BAGS – When on the green place your cart or bag on the path between the flag and the next tee so that you may make a quicker, more direct exit after holing out.
MAXIMUM STROKES ALLOWED - Pick up if you have met the maximum number of strokes per hole (double par).
Missing & DOUBLE ROUNDS
If you are going to miss a week you have until Tuesday at 4pm that week to enter your makeup round online AND submit your scorecard to me. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you need help entering your score.
If you are using any week as a double round for a future absence, you have until Tuesday that week at 4PM to make your declaration.
Rain Outs
If Mother Nature decides to be all pissy, rainouts will be added to the end of the season. If we have multiple rainouts it could extend the season to the point where it might conflict with members Fall plans, if it becomes a problem we will vote on if we should make all the missing rounds up or set a hard date for the season to end.
Any Questions feel free to ask.
As always have a good time and remember this is a fun league but we still play by the rules and count our strokes and take our penalties.
